KETAAKETI initiates the founding of national non-governmental organizations and supports their microfinance projects - in partnership and on an equal footing. In this way, the livelihoods of the poorest families and their children's school attendance are secured.
We finance these projects with the help of donations.
But these can only be implemented through the valuable work of our active KETAAKETI employees.

We offer young people the opportunity to complete an internship or volunteer service with our partner organization SPOWC in Nepal. Through their work on site, they provide valuable assistance and can experience the country, its people and culture at the same time. Our volunteers support and conduct lessons in school classes, do social work in the families of the students and are part of the development and implementation of new project ideas. If you are interested in an internship, you can find more information about the process and application here.

What is special about working at KETAAKETI for you and what motivates you to do your job?
Since 2015, I have been involved with KETAAKETI in various aspects and every year I am more enthusiastic about the way the principle of autonomy works in our partner countries.
As coordinator for Nepal, the familiar relationship with our partners is very important to me, which I actively cultivate. Witnessing the successes of the people in the projects on the ground and seeing the positive impact on the family situation and schooling of the children gives me strength and energy for my continued work."
Susanne im Sande, Vice Chairwoman and Coordinator for Nepal
Hello, I'm Maria Ortmann and I've only been involved in KETAAKETI since January 2022. I am a student and very interested in the topics of social justice and social work, as I can imagine myself going in this direction professionally as well. KETAAKETI gives me an insight into this world and holds valuable experiences that I can apply to different aspects of my life. The trigger to join KETAAKETI was Anneli's impressive concept "Sharity instead of Charity", which immediately appealed to me. The work for KETAAKETI fulfills me very much and I hope to be part of the team for a long time to come!
Maria Ortmann, Head of the KETAAKETI Club and member of the Intercultural School Team
Hello, I'm Nico and I've been involved with KETAAKETI in the country team since autumn 2021. Especially regarding my studies it is super interesting to gain the experience of intercultural exchange and to experience how the KETAAKETI model works in many countries around the world.
Nico Weers, vice chairman, coordinator for Liberia and contact person for students of Jacobs University Bremen
I have been working for KETAAKETI since autumn 2021. My task is in the area of public relations. The friendly and respectful interaction of all team members makes working very pleasant and I felt well received from the beginning.
By working for KETAAKETI I can contribute to the improvement of living conditions in our partner countries. That is my motivation for my commitment at KETAAKETI.
Petra Heyken, team member in public relations and acquisition, responsible for organizing lectures
Since 2015, I have been involved in the regional group in Varel, Germany, as well as in the school and development team, and have organized the production of a children's musical that thematically revolves around the story of how KETAAKETI came into being. I am amazed at the development of KETAAKETI in the last few years. More and more projects in more and more countries are added. What an enrichment, what a story of hope also for us, to witness how committed and competent the partners on site develop their projects. I also find the cordiality and commitment of the exchange within the KETAAKETI teams very strengthening. Staying together is the motto!
Friedericke Menke, head of the Varel regional group, KETAAKETI children's musical, school team member
