KETAAKETI initiates the establishment of country’s own non-governmental organisations (NGOs). These are led by committed individuals who give their time free of charge and work for their country in partnership with KETAAKETI in a completely self-determined manner. All staff members are exclusively from the respective country.
KETAAKETI partner organisations have so far been established in
Nepal, Sierra Leone, Burundi, Ecuador, Simbabwe, Liberia, Madagascar, Gambia, DR Kongo, Tansania, Uganda and Guinea, with a succession of projects since 2007. KETAAKETI offers continuing support, always maintaining a partnership that is based on equality.

Interest-free microfinance enables families to start their own businesses and, in that way, support and sustainably stabilise the children's school attendance. Families are generally able to repay the microfinance within a short space of time. After that, the investment is passed on to the next family, and the cycle of successful microfinance can start again.
School and health support
in regionally and culturally sensitive methods accompany this model.
Without further action from KETAAKETI, a one-time, small financial boost enables village after village and generation after generation to benefit.

All active KETAAKETI team members work unpaid and finance all costs themselves. In addition, we are supported by donors who donate specifically for costs, e.g. for travel to our partner organizations or public relations. This is how our 100% principle succeeds.
Intensive contacts with the partner country show the successful use of the donations. Small sums, transparent contact and the system of microfinance transfer prevent corruption.
KETAAKETI's concept of development cooperation received the UNESCO Sustainability Award in 2008 and several awards from high-ranking politicians (including the Prime Minister of Nepal) to date.
The founder and CEO Anneli-Sofia Raecker was awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany by Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier in December 2019 for the development and implementation of her model.
Expansion of the network of the country’s own NGOs
by enabling their leaders in the poorest countries to provide mutual support and advice to each other, sharing knowledge and best practice within their country as well across borders (e.g. as an "intra-African network"). At the same time, we look to expand KETAAKETI’s partner network in Germany.
KETAAKETI’s vision is to promote a voice for the poorest countries in the richest countries, so that they are given respect and treated with equality worldwide.
